No fire without oxygen. If the oxygen content in enclosed spaces is kept permanently low, fire runs out of air – before it even gets started. That’s why fire protection through oxygen reduction is not uncharted territory.
Data centers, warehouses and cold storage facilities are already protected in this way. However, conventional fire prevention systems are very energy-intensive, complex, and accordingly expensive – while we offer even more added value for you.
THE SMARTER TECHNOLOGY
In a fuel cell, hydrogen and oxygen react to produce electricity and heat. So a fuel cell ‘consumes’ oxygen. Our patented system takes advantage of this fact.

The oxygen-reduced exhaust air can be used to protect rooms of any size from fire while providing you with clean electricity and heat. And with simple measurement technology and demand-based tracking, even leaks are no problem.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE HEADED FOR EXTINCTION
Too densely packed, too cold, too big: systems such as water sprinklers are usually not technically possible at temperatures below zero (e.g. in deep-freeze warehouses), with electrical systems or in densely packed, fully automated warehouses. (Reactive) extinguishing systems cannot be used for larger volumes - too much extinguishing gas would have to be stored on site and the necessary pressure relief flaps would be huge.

Oxygen reduction is already being used today wherever conventional fire protection or extinguishing systems reach their limits - for example logistics centers, high-bay warehouses, automated warehouses and (deep) cold storage facilities.

However, with us you get more. Because we reduce oxygen using a hydrogen fuel cell and produce clean electricity and heat - with excellent efficiency.

Green hydrogen is considered a game changer, especially for the logistics industry. Transport, material handling and stationary energy generation are decarbonized with green hydrogen. Hydrogen can power trucks and industrial trucks with a conventional range and short refueling times without emissions. Stationary fuel cells make companies energy-independent and safe for emergency power. How logical it is to now also practice fire protection.

By using the low-oxygen exhaust air, the fuel cell gains added value and the incentive that will ultimately accelerate ramp-up and scaling - for cheaper systems in other related areas, such as mobility.
